Our office is way up on the seventh floor of the Ajithnath building in Ghatkopar West. It’s right there in Neelkanth Enclave, and if you look out the window, you can see Shreyas Cinema across LBS Marg. It’s a good spot to be in, even if the traffic on the main road is always a mess. We handle everything for 9Thread Apparels Private Limited from this one room. It’s filled with desks, some sewing machines, and plenty of coffee mugs. We aren't a massive corporation; we’re just a small team trying to make decent clothes. The morning commute in Mumbai is tough, but once we get into the office, things settle down into a rhythm. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the threads we use. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is due, watching the lights of the city from the window. We’ve been in this part of Mumbai for a while and the neighborhood feels like home now. There’s a tea stall downstairs where we usually go when we need a break from the computers and the fabric samples. It’s a simple life, really. No big speeches or fancy goals, just making sure the work is done before we head back home on the train. We like the view from up here on the seventh floor. It makes the long days feel a little bit shorter when the sun goes down.
