We’re up on the ninth floor of Lotus Park, inside the Graham Firth Compound. It’s a bit of a trek if the elevators are slow, but the view of the Western Express Highway is actually pretty decent from up here. Jogeshwari East is always moving, and we’re right in the middle of that hustle. My uncle and I started 24Ktjewels because we just knew jewellery better than anything else. It’s a workspace more than a fancy showroom. We’ve got desks piled with papers and boxes of stuff everywhere. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. People usually call us before coming up because the security at the gate can be a bit strict about visitors. We don’t mind the quiet up here though. It lets us focus on the pieces we're working on without the street noise from the highway getting in. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Mumbai. We just want to get the work done right. Sometimes the chai guy forgets our floor, so we end up making our own in the little corner we cleared out. If you're looking for us, look for C Wing. It’s not hard to find once you’re inside the compound. We stay late most nights, especially when there's a big order to finish. It's just a regular local business trying to keep things moving.
