Ubc Exports Llp

Our office is up on the 7th floor of Indian Globe Chamber, which sits right on W H Marg in the Fort area. It’s a pretty old-fashioned building with those high ceilings and heavy doors you see around this part of South Mumbai. Being at 142 W H Marg means we are right in the middle of everything. Ubc Exports Llp has been running things from here for a bit now. The morning commute into Fort is always a bit of a scramble with the trains and the crowds at the station nearby. Getting up to the seventh floor can take a minute if the elevator is busy with people from the other floors. Once we're inside, it’s mostly just us working at our desks surrounded by stacks of paper and the usual office noise. We can see out over the neighborhood a bit from this high up, though mostly it’s just the tops of other old buildings and some pigeons on the ledges. The air smells like the sea and street food sometimes when the breeze is right. It’s a solid place to work, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint every now and then. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on getting the day's work finished before the evening rush starts back up on the streets below. There’s a certain rhythm to working in Fort that you don't find anywhere else in the city. It’s loud and messy outside but we’ve made our own little space here to get things done. It works for us.
