We are tucked away in the Marol area of Andheri East. You can find us at Plot No G6 on the Cross Road, just off the main MIDC Road. It is right near Shanti Nagar, which is a landmark that most people around here use to find their way. Tg Silks Llp is a small outfit that deals with silk fabrics. It is a trade that requires us to spend a lot of time looking at materials very closely. The industrial area can be quite dusty and noisy outside, but inside our unit, we try to keep things as orderly as possible so the fabric stays clean. It is not a very glamorous job, even though people think silk is fancy. It involves a lot of checking for loose threads and making sure the colors look right under the shop lights. We have been at this spot for a while now. The team consists of a few people who know their way around a fabric roll and a ledger. We do not have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just answer the phone and talk to people who need silk supplies. Sometimes the heavy rain in Mumbai makes the roads around Marol pretty messy, but we still make it in every morning to start the work. It is a steady life and we do our best to stay on top of the orders that come through our door.
