We are based out of Sneh Milan CHS in Sector 48, Seawood West. Our workspace is located on the first floor, in Wing C 17, specifically Flat 1 7. It’s a bit of a residential area in Nerul, so it’s quieter than being right on a main commercial street. We use this space for Sakita Bakers and Confectioners, focusing on small-scale production of various baked goods. Since we are in a housing society, we have to be mindful of our neighbors, so we keep things pretty low-key. It’s not a shop where you walk in and see rows of glass cases. Instead, it’s where we do the actual work of preparing and finishing our orders. The kitchen area takes up most of the flat, and we’ve set it up with the ovens and prep tables we need. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when we have several different types of confectioneries going at once. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and have a bit of control over what we make. It’s mostly just a couple of us doing the mixing, baking, and packing. We don’t spend much time on fancy labels or marketing; we’d rather just spend that time making sure the product is okay. It’s a simple operation here in Seawood, just a local business trying to do honest work from a small space. We just try to get the orders out as they come in.
