We are at Shop 53 in the Vasant Sagar building. It is part of the Krishna Kaveri housing society in Thakur Village. Kandivali East is a pretty lively area, and we are right in the thick of it. The shop itself isn’t huge, but it is enough for what we need to get done. We cook. That is the main thing we do all day. People in Thakur Village know the Vasant Sagar building pretty well. It is a mix of families and small shops like ours. You can usually find us there from early morning until the sun goes down. The kitchen is always going and it gets quite warm in the back. We do not spend money on fancy marketing or social media experts. We just focus on the food we are preparing. It is a bit messy sometimes when we are in the middle of a big lunch order, but that is just how professional kitchens look. The neighbors are nice, and we see the same people walking by every evening with their dogs. It feels like a real community here in Kandivali. We like the vibe of Thakur Village. It is busy but it doesn’t feel like the chaotic main station area. We have got our regular routine and we stick to it. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we chose to do. We just want to make sure the food is done right.
