Next Door Baker Llp

Next Door Baker Llp is up on the 7th floor of Navjeevan Society. It's building number 3 on Dr. Dadasahebbhadkamkar Marg. Being in Mumbai Central means we are right in the middle of everything. From the 7th floor, we get a decent view of the rooftops, but we’re usually too busy to look out the window. The society is pretty old and the elevator can be slow, so we end up waiting a lot. We have a small setup here for our baking business. It’s more of a workspace than a shop. We spend most of our time measuring ingredients and checking the timers on the ovens. It gets pretty cramped when we have a lot of orders to finish. We often have boxes stacked up against the walls. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We know most of the neighbors in the building. They sometimes complain about the smell of baking bread or cookies, but usually, they don't mind. We use a lot of local suppliers for our butter and sugar. It’s just easier that way. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest bakery around. We just want to get the work done right and get home to our families. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere and we have to clean the whole place twice.
