Mumbai 26/11 Foundation

Our office for the Mumbai 26/11 Foundation is in the Solitaire Corporate Park in Andheri East, right on the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road. We are up on the 7th floor in room S-14. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, and there’s always a lot of noise and traffic outside. We started this foundation to remember what happened back on 26/11 and to help people who were affected or just to keep the spirit of the city strong. It’s not a happy subject, but it’s something that matters to us a lot. We aren't a big corporate entity with a CEO, even though we are located in a corporate park. Our office is pretty simple and functional. We spend our time organizing small memorial events or helping out families who still have a hard time after all these years. It’s a lot of administrative work, to be honest. We answer a lot of emails and talk to a lot of people who just want to share their stories or offer support. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles or expensive furniture. We just have some desks and some old filing cabinets. People sometimes stop by to say hello or to offer a hand with our projects. We really appreciate that. It’s just a small group of us who care about Mumbai and its history. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up every morning.
