Thakur Village in Kandivali East is a pretty lively place to be. Our office is in the Krishna Building, Wing B, which is part of Vasant Sagar. If you’re ever driving on SH69, we’re right in that neighborhood. We deal with red bricks and realty, so we’re always thinking about building materials and property deals. It’s a very practical business. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Instead, our space is full of site plans, brick samples, and the usual office clutter you would expect. NR Nagar is close by, so we see a lot of people from the community. Kandivali is always under construction, it seems, which keeps us pretty occupied throughout the week. We are an LLP, which means we work closely together and don't have a lot of layers between us. Sometimes the logistics of moving bricks through Mumbai traffic is a headache, but we’ve learned to deal with it. The office doesn't have any of those corporate mission statements on the walls. We just come in, check the messages, and figure out which site needs what. It gets a bit warm in the office during the summer months, but we just keep the fans on and get on with the day. It’s a straightforward business, and we like the people we work with around here. There is always someone coming in to ask about brick prices.
