Jakaas Snacks Llp is located right in the middle of the hustle in Kapad Bazar. Our place is on the ground floor of Hanifabai Manzil on Wanjawadi Lane. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of energy. We chose the name Jakaas because it’s a local word that everyone understands—it means something is great or top-notch. We are right there on the street level, so we see everyone passing by. It’s a small space, but we use every inch of it for storing and sorting our snack products. Being in a market area like Kapad Bazar means we are never far from our customers or our suppliers. The noise of the market is just something we’ve become part of over time. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just put our snacks out there and let people taste them. Most of our day is spent moving boxes and talking to the local shopkeepers who buy from us. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we check the inventory. It’s a real, boots-on-the-ground kind of business. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just make good snacks and try to keep up with the fast pace of the lane every day. It works for us.
