Happy Eating Llp

Operating out of the third floor of Adharyu Industrial Estate is an experience, to say the least. Happy Eating Llp is right in the middle of the Sun Mill Compound chaos in Lower Parel. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how it gets. The lift in this building is old and slow, so we often end up taking the stairs, which is quite a workout when you're carrying supplies. Our space is basically just a big room filled with various food stuff and packing materials. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, even with the fans going full blast. Sitaram Jadhav Marg is always packed with trucks and bikes, so getting things in and out requires a lot of shouting and patience. We don’t have any fancy signage or a lobby. You just walk in and see us working at the long benches. It’s a bit noisy with the other units in the estate, but we’ve gotten used to the industrial sounds. Most of our day is spent checking lists and making sure the right packages go to the right people. We eat our lunch together at one of the work tables once the main rush is over. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s where we get things done. The floors are concrete and the windows look out over the rooftops of other old mills and new towers popping up nearby.
