Gully Chai Llp

Gully Chai Llp is based over in Madanpura. We are up on the second floor, rooms 21 and 22, in the Bombay City Weavers CHS. It’s a big building on Maulana Azad Road, right in the heart of Mumbai Central. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s always crowded and noisy. We like the energy of the neighborhood though. Our space isn't huge, but we make it work for what we need. We spend most of our days here blending and tasting different teas. The weavers' society has a lot of history, and we’ve been here for a while now. Plot 231 is easy to find if you know the road. We don't have a storefront on the street, so you have to come upstairs to find us. It’s a lot of climbing stairs because the elevator is sometimes moody and breaks down. We aren't doing anything fancy, just focusing on tea that people in the gully would actually like. Most of our neighbors are small workshops or other families. It feels like a real community here in Madanpura. We share tea with the guys next door pretty often. It’s a simple life, running a business from a couple of rooms in an old Mumbai society. We don't need a lot of space to do what we do. Just enough for the bags and the stove and some chairs for when people visit. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a fan.
