Our office for Gsl Hotels Llp is actually in a basement at Mahalaxmi Chambers on Bhulabhai Desai Road. It’s a bit unusual being in the basement, but it stays cooler than the upper floors, which we really appreciate during the hot summer months. We are right near the Mahalaxmimandir and Cumballa Hill area, which is a busy part of the city. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of folders and equipment stored down here in the back. There aren't many windows, so we rely on the overhead lights all day long to see what we are doing. It’s a busy place with people coming and going for deliveries or meetings. We handle a lot of the administration and management work from this little spot. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs aren't the most comfortable in the world, but they do the job. We usually hear the traffic on the road above us, but it just becomes background noise after you've worked here for a while. Most of us take our lunch breaks outside just to get some sunlight and fresh air for a bit. There are some good food stalls around the temple area that we visit when we are hungry. We’ve been here for a few years and know all the regular faces in the building. We don't put on any airs; we just come in, do our tasks, and go home to our families.
