GRAVEL & ARC DEVELOPERS LLP

Our office is tucked away in the Vakola Bridge Shopping Centre on Nehru Road. We’re on the ground floor of the Pankaj building, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re in Santacruz East. Gravel & Arc Developers is a name we picked because it sounds like what we do—working with raw materials and designing spaces. Mumbai is a crowded place to build anything, so we spend a lot of time figuring out how to make things fit in tight spots. It’s a lot of back and forth with architects and guys on the site. We’ve been at this for a bit now, and every project has its own set of weird issues. Sometimes it’s the rain, sometimes it’s the supply chain. We don't have a big glossy brochure or anything like that. We just focus on the development work at hand. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on progress. The shopping center is always noisy, but we like the energy of this part of Mumbai. It feels like things are always moving. We handle the paperwork and the planning from our little space here, and then we head out to see the actual buildings going up. It’s a lot of coordinating between different teams. We just try to stay organized and get the work done without making things more complicated than they need to be. We are usually here till late most evenings.
