If you're looking for us, we’re up in flat B402 at Hemavathi CHS in Charkop. It’s a residential building, so it feels a bit more like a home than an office. We're right near the Ambe Mata Mandir and not far from Haryana Bhavan, which is a good landmark if you're coming from the main part of Kandivali West. Foursquare Smartbuild is a small operation. We spend most of our time looking at floor plans and talking to vendors on our mobile phones. Mumbai is a crowded place, and building things here requires a lot of patience with the local regulations and the tight spaces we have to work in. Our desks are usually covered in coffee mugs and scraps of paper with measurements scribbled on them. It’s not a fancy setup, but it works for what we need. We’ve been around this neighborhood for quite a while now. We know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the traffic when we need to get to a site. Most of our days involve juggling different contractors and making sure the materials arrive on time, which is harder than it sounds in this city. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do decent work that lasts. It's a lot of early starts and late finishes, especially when a deadline is coming up. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the bricks and mortar.
