Our place is at 54 A along the Andheri Kurla Road in Andheri East. It is near the Ashram, which is a well-known spot in this part of Mumbai. If you know how busy Andheri Kurla Road can get, you know what our daily surroundings are like. There is a constant stream of cars and people outside. Double Chin Food is the name we have on the sign. We work out of a space that is mostly dedicated to food preparation and handling orders. It isn't a place with a lot of seating or fancy decor. We kept it practical because that's what we need to get the job done. The team is just a few of us who handle everything from the cooking to the cleaning and the deliveries. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of Andheri. Our building is a bit older, so it has some character, though the plumbing can be temperamental sometimes. We don't have a big PR team or a fancy website. Most of what we do is just day-to-day management of the food business and talking to our suppliers. We like being in this part of the city because it’s so central for transport, even if the traffic is a bit of a mess. We just show up every day, do the work, and try to keep things organized enough to do it all again tomorrow. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy.
