Narula & Co

Narula & Co has been sitting on the Mullanpur Main Road for a good while now. Being right on the main road means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of horns passing by, but it also means everyone knows exactly where we are. We keep the doors open most of the day, letting the air move through even if it brings a bit of the outside in with it. The shop is filled with all sorts of items, mostly things that people around Mullanpur might need in a hurry. We spend a lot of our time just rearranging the stock or checking the lists to see what needs to be ordered next. It is a straightforward business, really. We show up, we open the shutters, and we wait for the day to start. Some of the shelves are a bit older and maybe they creak a little under the weight, but they hold up just fine. We aren't into anything complicated here. If someone comes in looking for something, we either have it or we tell them when it might show up. Living and working on Mullanpur Main Road means you see a lot of people passing through, and you get a sense of how the town is changing. We are just a small part of that, keeping our corner of the road going. It gets quiet in the late evenings, which is when we finally get a chance to sweep up.
