Vikas Refrizaration

Our shop, Vikas Refrizaration, is situated on Muktsar Road. We are quite easy to find because we are right near the Power House. Being near the Power House is a bit ironic since we deal with cooling and electricity all day. The road outside can get pretty dusty with all the trucks passing by, so we are always wiping down the units we have out front. It’s a small place, mostly just a room filled with gas cylinders, copper pipes, and old fridge compressors. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. Most of our day is spent diagnosing why a machine stopped working or trying to find a spare part that someone stopped making ten years ago. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and a bit of luck sometimes. We aren’t polished or corporate. Our signs are hand-painted and our floor is concrete. We just like fixing things and seeing them run again. The weather on Muktsar Road can be harsh, really hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but the work stays the same. People from the nearby farms and houses drop by when their cooling fails, and we do what we can to help them out. It’s a steady life, and we don’t ask for much more than a bit of work and a decent cup of tea.
