M.D. Joshi & Co

M.D. Joshi & Co is over at Plot No. 1157 in Teacher Colony, on Zira Road. We are quite close to the Gurudwara, so we can often hear the prayers and the music, which is quite peaceful. Our office has been in the same spot for a long time. Teacher Colony is a bit more residential than other business areas, so it feels a bit more like home here. We are a small family-run company. We do a bit of everything when it comes to general business and supplies. The office is usually cluttered with ledgers, old files, and samples of whatever we are trading at the moment. We don't have a modern website or anyone to do social media for us. It’s just old-fashioned work. People stop by to chat as much as they do to talk about business. We know the neighbors and they know us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside in the shade of the building until it comes back on. We aren't trying to be the most successful company in the district; we just want to do right by the people we work with. My father started this years ago, and we’ve just kept it going the same way he did. It’s a quiet life on Zira Road, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
