Brar Pavers

Our place is out on Abohar Road, specifically in Kudrat Village at Street No.5. We make pavers here, so the yard is full of different stacks of finished blocks. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. Being on the main road means we see a lot of traffic passing by all the time. We set up this yard because it was a good location to move materials in and out without much trouble. Most of the guys working here live nearby in the village. We start the mixers early in the morning. It is a lot of repetitive work, lifting the blocks and setting them out to dry in the sun. We don't have any fancy office staff. If you stop by, you'll probably find one of us moving a pallet or checking the mix. We talk to the local contractors who need stuff for their building sites. Sometimes the trucks get delayed, but we just keep making the next batch anyway. We have different patterns we can do. It is practical work. We don't use big words to describe it. We just make the blocks and sell them to people who need them. The street is usually busy, so there is always something to look at while we work. We keep things pretty simple here. We just show up and do the work until it's time to go home.
