Sk Enterprises

Sk Enterprises is based in Satpokhri, right in the Dulhipur Bari Bazar area. If you know the market, you know it is always crowded and loud with people buying and selling all sorts of things. Our shop is tucked in there among the rest. We deal with various goods, whatever seems to be in demand around the bazar. It is a local operation, mostly just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us for years. The space is filled with boxes and it can be hard to move around when a new shipment arrives. We spend most of our time talking to customers and checking the ledgers. There is no air conditioning here, just the breeze from the street and a few old ceiling fans that squeak a bit. We like the energy of Bari Bazar, even when it gets overwhelming in the summer heat. People come from the surrounding villages to shop here, so we meet a lot of different folks every week. We don't do anything fancy with our displays, we just put the stuff out where people can see it. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we prefer being our own bosses. Every day is a little different depending on what people are looking for and what the weather is doing. We keep the doors open late on market days when the crowd is still thick outside.
