Sona Rice Mill

We have been running Sona Rice Mill for a while now here in Barachakia City. It’s located in the East Champaran district. You can find us right near the old bus stand in Thatia, Motihari. The mill stays busy most days. We handle the rice processing for people around this part of town. It’s a dusty job, but someone has to do it. The machinery is loud and takes a lot of looking after to keep it running right. We spend most of our mornings getting everything ready before the heat gets too bad. Being near the bus stand means there's always a lot of noise outside, but we don't mind much. People stop by to ask questions or check on their orders quite often. We just focus on getting the work done without much fuss. It isn't a fancy place by any means. It’s just a regular mill where we process grain for the local community. We've seen a lot of changes in the area over the years, but the mill stays pretty much the same. We try to be fair with everyone who comes through our gates. It's a living and we're used to the routine by now. Some days are longer than others, especially during the harvest times when everyone wants their rice sorted at once. We just keep our heads down and work through the piles. That is how it goes here at Sona Rice Mill.
