Pt. Ugam Pandey College Motihari,East Champaran

If you head out to Motihari, you’ll find Pt. Ugam Pandey College right where it’s always been. We are tucked away in East Champaran, and the place has a certain feel to it that only older buildings have. It’s not the most modern spot you’ll ever see, and the paint is peeling in a few corners, but it serves the students here just fine. Most days start early with people coming in from the surrounding villages. The office stays busy with admissions and questions about exams, and there’s usually a bit of a queue near the main window. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough benches and blackboards to get the job done. The grounds get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, and during the summer heat, everyone tries to find a spot under the trees. It’s a quiet life mostly, except when exam results come out and the whole place gets crowded. We’ve seen many groups of students pass through these gates over the years. Some of the staff have been here so long they remember the parents of the kids who are studying here now. It’s just a local college trying to help people in this part of Bihar get through their studies. We don’t make a big fuss about things; we just open the doors and get to work every morning.
