Motihari Medical Centre

The Motihari Medical Centre is out in Raghunathpur, which is part of East Champaran. It’s a local spot that serves the people living in and around the village areas. We have a modest building that houses our beds and the small area where the doctors sit. It’s not like the big city hospitals with glass walls; it’s more of a practical setup for the local community. Every morning, people start showing up, some traveling quite a distance to get here. We see a lot of general health issues, from fevers to minor injuries. The staff is mostly local people who speak the language and know the families around here. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to rely on the generator, but that’s just part of living in East Champaran. The hallways can get a bit crowded on market days when everyone is in town. We spend our time checking temperatures, giving out basic medicines, and making sure the patients are resting okay. There’s a lot of manual record-keeping involved, writing things down in big ledgers. It’s a slow but steady pace of work. We’ve been here in Raghunathpur for a while, and the center is just a regular part of life for the folks who live nearby. We just do our shifts and go home when the work is done. It’s about being there for the local neighbors who don't want to travel all the way into the main town.
