Chakia Kirana Store

We run our shop right here on the Main Road in the Chakia Main Market. It’s a busy spot in East Champaran, especially with the Sahebganj Road traffic passing by all day. We opened this place to provide all the daily items people need for their kitchens and homes. Most days start early for us, getting the shutters up and checking the stock of pulses, rice, soaps, and other groceries. It can get a bit crowded in the afternoons when everyone comes out for their shopping. The store is easy to find if you know the Motihari district area well. We’ve been at this same spot for quite some time now. You’ll see us sorting out bags or helping someone find a specific spice. It’s just a regular local business. We don't have fancy displays, just shelves filled with what folks use every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, but that's just part of being in a main market like this. We know many of our customers by name because they stop in every week. Dealing with different suppliers takes up a lot of our morning time. We try to keep things organized, though things can get a bit messy when a big shipment arrives. It is a simple way of life here in Chakia. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the scale working right for everyone who walks through the door.
