Akash Health Clinic

Things move a bit slower here in Jakhalabandha compared to the big cities. We set up the Akash Health Clinic to be a place where local people can come when they aren't feeling well. It’s a small town, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. The clinic isn't anything fancy. It’s just a basic building with the rooms we need for examinations. We deal with a lot of common stuff like fevers, minor injuries, and regular checkups. Sometimes people stop by just to ask a question or tell us how their family is doing. We don't have a lot of high-tech machines, but we have the essentials. The waiting area is simple, just some wooden benches. It can get quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to let the breeze in. There is always dust from the road, but that is just part of living here. We try to help everyone who comes in, even if it’s late in the evening. It’s a small operation. Usually, it’s just me and one assistant handling everything from the records to the medicine. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. It’s a practical life, being a health clinic in a place like Jakhalabandha. We take things one day at a time and try to make sure our neighbors are doing okay and staying healthy.
