Yogi Cera Decorators

Yogi Cera Decorators is located at 77/78 G.I.D.C. in Rafaleshwar, right along the National Highway 8-A. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant stream of trucks passing by, which brings a lot of dust and noise to our doorstep. We are right in the middle of the ceramic hub here, so everything around us is related to tiles and pottery. Our work is focused on decorating the ceramic pieces, which is a bit of a messy process involving a lot of colors and firing. The workshop is a large, open space that stays pretty warm because of the kilns. We don't have a fancy entrance or a place for guests to sit. It’s a working shed, through and through. Most of the guys here have been doing this kind of work since they were young, so they have a real feel for the materials. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or try to impress people with big words. We just show them what we can do with the patterns and the glazes. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right and we have to start over, but that is just part of the craft. We spend most of our day checking the temperatures and making sure the prints are straight. It is hard, physical work and it keeps us on our feet from sunrise until we close up for the night.
