Spono Ceramic Pvt. Ltd. is out on Jetpar Road, right near Rangpar and across from Virat Nagar. If you are driving down that way, you can’t really miss the industrial look of the place. We make tiles and ceramic items, so there is always a lot of heat and noise from the machinery. It’s a big space because we need room for the kilns and all the finished boxes waiting to go out. The floors are usually covered in a fine powder, which is just part of the process. We have a small office tucked away in the front where we handle the bills and talk to the drivers. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that is usually the highlight when things are busy. Being near Rangpar means we are in the middle of the ceramic hub, so it is always active around here. Sometimes the trucks get backed up on the road, which can be annoying. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a factory that keeps the production line moving. Our team is mostly local guys who know the machines inside out. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and long hours. It’s just how the ceramic business works. We keep our heads down and focus on making sure the batches come out right. Every day is pretty much the same routine and we like it that way.
