Sonaki Ceramic

Sonaki Ceramic is based out on Old Ghuntu Road in Morbi. If you know this area, you know it's all about ceramics around here. We’ve got our setup right on the road where all the trucks go by throughout the day. It’s a dusty place, honestly, but that’s just how Morbi is with all the factories running. We spend our time making sure the kiln is running right and the tiles or whatever we're making that day look okay. We aren't trying to be some high-end luxury brand, we just make ceramics that people can actually use in their homes. The office is right next to the production area, so it’s never really quiet. We have a few guys who have been here since we first started out. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. Usually, people just know we're on Old Ghuntu Road and they come by to see what we have in stock. It gets really hot in the summer, especially when you're working near the ovens. We just try to get the orders out on time. Sometimes the mud gets everywhere, but it’s just part of the job. We don’t have fancy brochures to hand out. We just show people the actual pieces we’ve finished. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We've been in this spot for a while and don't plan on moving. It’s just us doing our daily work with the clay.
