Shreeji Steel

You can find us at the Yogi Diamond Building on Street Number 6 in the Lati Plot area. We’re quite near the old Juna Bus Stand, which is a landmark most people in the neighborhood know. Shreeji Steel is basically a local shop where we keep different types of steel rods and sheets for building. The building is a bit older, and our section is tucked away towards the back of the ground floor. It’s often quite cool inside because of the thick walls, which is nice when the sun is out during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and cutting them to size for people who walk in with their requirements. There’s always the smell of cut metal and a bit of grease in the air. We keep a small kettle in the corner for tea when we take our breaks. The street outside is usually busy with people walking to and from the bus stand throughout the day. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers on Street 6. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. Usually, someone just mentions us to a friend, and they show up looking for a specific piece of steel for a repair. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We open up the shutters around nine and stay until the evening. We don't try to rush things, just focus on getting the measurements right for the job.
