Down the Jetpar-Pipli Road near Rangpar Village, there’s a lot of dust because of all the ceramic work happening in Morbi. Our place is right in the thick of it. We deal with clay and kilns every single day. The heat from the ovens is something you never quite get used to, especially in the summer months. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the tiles don't crack before they’re finished. We have a rhythm to the day that starts before the sun gets too high. The village is quiet, but the road is always busy with lorries carrying materials. Our office is just a small room with a couple of chairs where we handle the orders. It’s not a place for fancy suits; most of us have dust on our clothes by noon. We’ve got stacks of ceramic pieces everywhere you look. Sometimes we run behind when the power acts up or a machine needs a part, but we just fix it and keep going. People from the village work here, so it feels more like a local hangout than a big company. We focus on the work and making sure the crates are packed tight so nothing breaks on the way to the customer. It’s hard work, but it’s what people do around here in Morbi. We often share a meal together when the kilns are cooling down and the afternoon heat is at its peak.
