Down on Old Ghuntu Road, you will find us at Deco Gold Glazed Tiles Ltd. We are right next to Sona Sanitary Wares, so we’re easy to spot if you know that landmark. This area is pretty much the heart of the tile business around here. We spend our days dealing with the ovens and the clay. Making glazed tiles is a messy job, but it’s what we know how to do. The warehouse is usually full of boxes waiting to be shipped out. We don’t really do all that fancy marketing stuff you see in big cities. It’s just us, some workers, and a lot of tiles. The road outside is always loud with traffic. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on this street, but we just keep doing our thing. It gets pretty warm inside the factory, especially in the afternoons. We make sure the glazes look right before anything leaves the gate. Most of our neighbors are in the same trade, so there’s always something going on nearby. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the floor checking the stock. It’s a practical business for practical people. We just focus on getting the tiles done and out the door to wherever they need to go next. It is hard work but it pays the bills for everyone here.
