Stylin Sanitarywares is out on Matel Road, right near Eracon Vitrified. It’s a dusty road sometimes, especially with all the trucks going back and forth. We have a lot of heavy stuff here—toilets, sinks, all that kind of thing. Moving them around takes some muscle, and I definitely feel it in my back at the end of the day. The showroom isn't some fancy gallery, it’s just a place to see the products. We get a lot of builders and people fixing up their houses. I spend a lot of time checking the stock to make sure nothing arrived cracked. Ceramics can be fragile if you aren't careful. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon. I usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Matel Road is a busy industrial kind of area, so there’s always noise. I try to keep the displays clean, but the dust from the road makes it a constant battle. We’ve got stacks of boxes in the warehouse area. It’s not a glamorous job, but people always need bathrooms. I've learned a lot about plumbing over the years just by talking to the contractors who come in. It’s a solid business. We just stay focused on the inventory and helping whoever walks through the door. It gets hot in here, but we have a couple of big fans that help out.
