Shiv Ceramics

Shiv Ceramics is located just behind Lalpar, right off the 8-a National Highway. If you don't know the turn, it’s easy to drive right past us. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. The area around Lalpar is always busy with workers and vehicles. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we keep everything organized. The wind picks up in the afternoons and blows a lot of dust around, which is just how it is in this part of the country. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. Most of the day is spent on our feet. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If someone wants to talk to us, they just walk into the main area and find one of us. We use a lot of handwritten notes to keep track of things because it’s faster than using the computer sometimes. There is a small temple nearby where some of the guys go during their break. The highway is always there, reminding us of how much is moving around the state. We take our work seriously but we don't feel the need to talk about it in a big way. It’s just what we do to make a living. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired and ready to get out of the heat. It is a simple, honest way to spend the day.
