Uma Bag Printing

Uma Bag Printing is located at Plot No.6 near Lajai Chokdi. If you know Hadmatiya Road, you've probably passed us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We spend most of our time here working on bags. It gets pretty loud with the machines running all day long. Ink gets on everything, including our clothes, but that is just part of the job. We didn't plan on being in this specific spot forever, but it’s where we ended up and it works. The space is big enough for the printing tables and the stacks of material we keep around. Most of the guys here have lived in this area their whole lives. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the prints to dry. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It isn’t some high-tech factory, just a bunch of us doing what we know how to do. We handle the orders as they come in. Some weeks are slower than others, but we manage to stay busy. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. If you’re driving down Hadmatiya Road, look for the sign near the Chokdi. We are usually there from morning until late evening depending on how many bags need finishing. It is dusty and noisy, but it’s our place. The floor is stained with different colors of ink, but we don't mind much as long as the work gets done.
