Italico Ceramic

Morbi is famous for its tiles, and we’re right in the thick of it on Jetpar Road. Our place, Italico Ceramic, is one of many in this area, but we try to do things our own way. It’s a busy, dusty road with trucks carrying clay and finished tiles at all hours. Our facility is pretty large because you need a lot of space for the kilns and the storage. We have rows and rows of ceramic tiles stacked up, waiting to be sent out. The air often smells like earth and heat from the manufacturing process. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a sleek corporate office. Most of the people working here are locals who have been in the ceramic industry for years. We spend our time checking the quality of the glaze and making sure the patterns look right. It’s a lot of physical work and it can get quite hot inside the plant. Sometimes a customer will drive down the road and stop in to see what we have in stock. We just show them around the warehouse and let the products speak for themselves. It’s a simple, honest way of doing business in a very competitive town. We just keep our heads down, run the machines, and make sure we’re keeping up with the demand. It is a tough job but we have been doing it for a long time.
