Jacobs Appliances

Jacobs Appliances is located in unit 102 of the Avenue Apartment building. We are in Avenue Park, right on Ravapara Road. It’s more of a residential-feeling area compared to some of the industrial zones, which makes it a bit nicer to come to every morning. The apartment setup is a bit different for a business, but it works for us. We have the rooms divided up for different tasks. One room is for all the paperwork and another is where we keep the things we are working on. The windows look out onto the park, so we get a bit of green to look at during breaks. Ravapara Road is usually moving with traffic, but it’s not too loud once you are inside the building. We know most of the people living in the other apartments, so we try to keep the noise down. The kitchen area is where we usually hang out to eat our lunch or make a quick coffee. It feels a bit like being at home, which I think makes everyone a bit more relaxed. We don't have a lobby or anything like that. You just come to the door and ring the bell. The floors are tiled and easy to keep clean, which is good because people are always walking in and out. It’s a steady place to work and we’ve been here for a good while. There is usually a radio playing softly in one of the rooms.
