Sepal Ceramic is out on Halvad Road, specifically in Mahendranagar. This part of the country is known for its ceramics, and we are right in the middle of it. The road can be quite dusty with all the trucks carrying clay and finished tiles. Our facility is where we handle the daily operations. It’s a practical space, mostly focused on the production side of things. We have piles of samples sitting around the office. You can see the different patterns and finishes we work with. It isn't a showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a working factory environment. We spend our days checking the kilns and making sure the pieces come out right. The heat from the production can be intense, especially during the summer months. Most of us here grew up around this industry. We know the smell of wet clay better than anything else. There is a small tea shop down the road where we go when the shifts change. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just make ceramics and try to keep the business running steadily. The workers know their jobs well, and we don't need much supervision. It’s just daily routine and hard work on Halvad Road. Sometimes the truck drivers stay for a bit to chat while we load the pallets. It makes the day go by faster.
