Canton Ceramic

Our business, Canton Ceramic, is out at 8/A on the National Highway in Makansar. We are located right near Krishna Vijay Industries. Being on the highway means it is usually quite dusty and loud because of all the heavy trucks driving past. Our place is mostly a large shed where we keep all the tiles and ceramic pieces stacked up in rows. It is not a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It gets very hot in the summer and the dust seems to get on every surface no matter how much we clean. We spend our days moving heavy crates around and checking the quality of the ceramic batches. It is messy work involving clay and water. We have a small office tucked away in one corner where we handle the bills and talk to the drivers. Most of our customers are builders or people working on their own houses. They usually pull their trucks right up to the front to load up. We are not corporate people at all. We wear work clothes that usually have a bit of dirt on them by noon. It is a tough business, but we have been in Makansar for a long time now. The location on the highway is good for transport, even if it is noisy. We do not have a flashy website or a big sales team. We just show people the samples we have on the racks and fill the orders.
