Sagar Steel Furniture

Our shop is located on Railway Station Road right at Juna Mahajan Chowk. We are pretty close to the Chitrakut Cinema so we get a lot of people passing by on their way to see a movie. We work mostly with steel as you can tell from the name. There is usually the sound of metal moving around or the smell of fresh paint hanging in the air. We keep a variety of cupboards and desks on the floor so people can see what they are getting. It’s a bit of a crowded space because steel furniture takes up a lot of room. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one item in the back. The road outside is always busy with traffic going toward the station which makes for a lot of background noise. We’ve been at this Juna Mahajan Chowk spot for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a family-run kind of thing where we just show up and do the work. We don't spend much time on decorations in the shop since the furniture is what matters. In the evenings when the cinema crowd comes out it gets even busier on the street. We usually keep the doors open to let the air circulate while we move the heavier pieces around. It’s honest work and we just try to make things that will last for a long time. The shop closes once the last customer leaves late at night.
