Mention Shop 18 and most people around here will point you to the Morbi Shopping Center. It is right across from Shriji Hospital, which is the main landmark we tell everyone to look for when they get lost. Ayodhya Puri Road gets pretty busy during the afternoon hours, and sometimes it is a real struggle to find a parking spot near the front entrance. The shop has been in this spot for a while now. We open up early in the morning and watch the same street vendors setting up their carts. Our sign is a bit faded from the sun, but it is still easy enough to see from the road. It is a small place but we try to keep things organized. Usually, there is a nice breeze coming through the front door if the weather is right. The neighbors in the shopping center are mostly quiet people who stick to themselves. We spend a lot of our day just checking stocks and handling the piles of paperwork that seem to grow on the desk. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes during the summer, we just sit outside on the steps for a bit. It is not a fancy office, just a regular workplace with some old shelves. Most of the time, we have a small radio playing in the corner. People stop by and ask for directions to the hospital quite often. We do not mind helping out. Life just moves at its own pace here.
