Vilayati Dawakhana

Vilayati Dawakhana is located in the Moradabad area. You can find us over by Dag Charch Baradari. It’s an old part of town and we’ve been part of the landscape here for a good while. The shop isn't very large but we pack a lot into it. People come in looking for specific things they need. We spend most of our day behind the counter, organizing bottles and talking to whoever walks through the door. Moradabad is a busy place, and our street is no different. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside with the traffic and the rickshaws, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to get attention. Most people know us by word of mouth or just because they live nearby and walk past every day. It’s a simple setup we've got. We keep the shelves stocked as best as we can manage. It’s a lot of manual work, checking what’s left and what needs to be ordered from the suppliers. The building itself has some character, maybe a few cracks here and there on the walls, but it holds up well enough. We open early most days. Some customers have been coming to us for years, and now their kids come too. It’s just one of those local spots where people stop by. We don't do much in the way of advertising because the regulars keep us busy enough. It’s just how we run things here.
