Our shop is over by Amroha Gate, and you can usually hear us before you see us. The sound of engraving and the smell of cut metal or acrylic is pretty much constant from morning until evening. We have shelves lined with all sorts of awards, some shiny and some more plain, just waiting for names to be put on them. It’s a bit of a cluttered space, honestly. We have boxes of marble bases stacked in the corners and sheets of plastic leaning against the walls. When a big local tournament is happening, we are usually staying late to get everything finished. It’s just a few of us here, and we all have our hands dirty most of the time. We don't use any fancy sales talk when people walk in. They tell us what they need, we show them what we can do, and we get to work. Sometimes the engraving machine acts up and we have to spend an hour fixing it, which is frustrating but just part of the job. People from all over the neighborhood come by, from schools to small sports clubs. We’ve seen a lot of different names go across these trophies over the years. It’s simple, steady work that keeps us connected to the local community. We don't have a big office, just this workshop where we make things that people get to take home and keep on their mantels.
