We've been at the Rampur Road spot for a while now. It's right across from M.H.S.C. in Peetal Nagari. Working with metal is what we do here. People stop by and see the stuff we make. It's a bit dusty sometimes because of the polishing, but that's just how it goes. My family has been doing this kind of thing for years. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. We just have our workshop and a small area to show what's finished. Most days we are busy hammering or getting pieces ready for transport. The noise is constant on this road, but you get used to it. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a chat. We aren't trying to be some big factory. It’s just us, making things by hand. If you're looking for us, look for the sign near the college. It's easy to miss if you're driving too fast. We keep things pretty straightforward here. No big sales pitches or shiny brochures. Just some honest work and metal. The weather gets hot in the summer, making the shop feel like an oven, but the work doesn't stop. We just drink more tea and keep moving. That's pretty much who we are at The Village Art. Nothing more, nothing less. It's a living and we enjoy the process of turning a raw piece into something else.
