Taj Brassland Of India is located down Lane 8, off Asalatpura, right near Prince Road. If you walk down the lane, you can hear the sounds of work before you even see our door. It’s an old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it works for us. Inside, it’s often warm because of the work we do with brass. There is a lot of dust and the smell of metal in the air. We don't have a big fancy sign or a polished lobby. It’s just a workshop where we spend our hours making things. My father and his friends used to work like this too. We carry on that way of doing things because it’s what we know. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so there is always someone to talk to if you step outside for a bit of air. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the raw material and turn it into something useful or decorative. It takes time and a bit of sweat. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but we always get back to it. It’s a simple life in a busy lane, and we are happy enough with that.
