Our workshop is over in Kisrol, right by Jhabbu Ka Nala. It’s a part of town where everyone seems to be making something or fixing something. We have a small space where we keep all our tools and materials. It’s not the quietest place because of the canal nearby and the constant sound of people working in the other shops along the lane. We spend our days teaching people how to use their hands to create things, or we’re working on pieces ourselves. The light isn't great inside, so we often keep the big door wide open to let the sun in. There’s always a bit of mud near the entrance when it rains because the road isn't paved very well here. We’ve got some old benches and a few stools for when people come by to talk about work. Most of the time, the floor is covered in shavings or scraps from whatever project we’re currently doing. We don’t really bother with decorating the place. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. The neighbors are good people, and we often share a pot of coffee when things slow down in the evening. Life here follows the rhythm of the sun and the local market. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the Kisrol community. Sometimes the kids from the street peek in to see what we’re building, and we don’t mind the company while we work.
