You can find us over at Brij Complex in Moradabad. We are in the Prakesh Nagar area, which everyone around here calls Line Par. It’s a bit of a specific part of town, located on the other side of the railway tracks. Being in the complex means we have neighbors who are also running small shops and offices, so there is always someone to talk to. Our space is pretty basic. We have a few chairs for when people come in to talk about renting a car or booking a seat on a bus for their family. There are always piles of registers and notebooks on the desk because we like to keep track of everything on paper as well as on the computer screen. The office can get a bit stuffy in the summer months, so we keep the door open to get some air from the main corridor. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or answering the mobile phone when it rings. People from Line Par usually know where Brij Complex is, but sometimes we have to give directions over the phone to folks coming from the main part of Moradabad who get lost. It’s a local operation, nothing too fancy or polished like the big companies. We just sit here and handle the travel needs of whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the trains going by outside make a lot of noise, but that’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We’ve got a small water cooler and some old pictures on the wall.
