Sat Brass Novelties

Our place is located in Ghair Saeed Khan, within the Faiz Ganj area. It’s an old part of the city, and you can feel that when you walk through the streets around here. The shop is full of brass items, so there’s a lot of yellow and gold color everywhere you look. Brass requires a bit of maintenance to keep it from getting dark, so someone is usually wiping things down with a cloth throughout the day. We aren't a very large shop, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of inventory onto the shelves and even some on the floor near the entrance. Faiz Ganj is a place where people know each other, so we spend a lot of time talking to folks who just stop by to say hello. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up well enough for us. We’ve been here for many years, following in the footsteps of those who ran the business before us. It’s dusty work sometimes, especially when we get new stock in that’s been sitting in a warehouse. We open up early in the morning when the market starts to wake up. There’s no air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that hum all day long. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s what we know. We don’t plan on moving anytime soon because this spot just works for us.
