Salim Brass Inc. is our little business located in Kisrol. We are specifically in the Diwan Khana area. It’s a place where a lot of metalwork happens. We’ve been here for years, and the shop is pretty much our second home. We focus on brass items. The work involves a lot of cutting, polishing, and shaping. Our hands are usually black from the metal by the end of the day. The space we have isn't very large. It’s crowded with raw brass rods, sheets, and the machines we use for buffing. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a workshop with a small corner for keeping our accounts. The streets in Diwan Khana are narrow and always busy with carts and cycles. You can hear the neighbors working on their own projects through the walls. We don't spend money on ads. We just wait for the phone to ring or for someone to walk in with an order. Some days we have so much work we stay late into the night. Other days are slower and we spend more time drinking tea and talking to the people next door. We aren't a huge company with a big hierarchy. It’s just us and the brass. We try to do a steady job and keep things moving along. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy. If you visit, you’ll see we aren't fancy, just practical people making things.
