Rohilkhand Chemicals & Proteins

Our place is called Rohilkhand Chemicals & Proteins and you can find us at the Hussnain Industrial Estate. We are right near the Deer Park on Rampur Road. It’s a decent spot because the trucks have enough room to turn around. We deal with various chemical compounds and protein powders used for different things. It’s mostly industrial work. The building is a big shed with high ceilings. It stays relatively cool in the morning but by two o’clock it’s like an oven. We have about ten people working here now. Most of them have been with us for five years or more. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading sacks and plastic drums. The air usually has a bit of a sharp smell because of what we process, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We have a small office near the main gate where my brother sits and handles the orders. There’s an old calendar on the wall and a water cooler that makes a lot of noise. We don’t do much advertising. People in the trade know where we are. Sometimes we see deer near the park fence when we leave in the evening. It’s a steady job. We just keep our heads down and make sure the mixtures are correct before they go out. It's a lot of manual labor and checking labels, but it keeps the business running for us and we appreciate the work we have.
